handmade quilted cotton tea cozy, calico cat cover for teapot, vintage tea cosy

Vintage (1970s or 80s) handmade calico cat tea cozy, a lined cover for you teapot. This is in very good clean condition, I don't believe it was ever used.

I put this on a tea pot so you can see how the shape of the cat works over the shape of a teapot. (Teapot not included, nor is my mug, sorry!)

It's hard to measure this in such a way as to be certain what pots it might fit, because the fabric has a little give, and it's possible to angle this to put it on. I did this, it fits the old teapot I used here just fine.

The COZY measures about 9 1/2" down the length of the bottom opening, 11 1/2" across the fattest part of the cat, about 9 3/4" tall. It's knife edge, no gusset. But of course it rounds out in shape as it's on the tea pot.

The TEAPOT modeling measures 10 1/2" long tip of spout to the back of the handle, longest possible horizontal (straight across) line. Stands 7 1/2" tall, holds 4 to 6 cups volume.
