1940s vintage J H Breasted History of Egypt, gold Egyptian revival binding

1945 A History of Egypt, by James Henry Breasted. This is the second edition, Charles Scribner and Sons - with 200 illustrations and maps. The book measures 9 1/2" x 6 3/4" and is just lovely, with gold decorated cover, and many nice old photos of archeologists in the field, etc..

This has former owner's name and book plate to the inside front cover and endpaper, also a small scribble in ink to the title page.
