huge hanging scale, vintage Brooklyn Detecto produce scale works but needs restoration & new glass

Mid century vintage Detecto hanging scale for grocery or farmer's market produce, measures weights up to 30 lbs 1 oz pounds according to the specs. This is very heavy, it's a good older scale (marked Brooklyn New York, pre zip code).

It pulls smoothly, and I'd expect works perfectly after calibration.

Cosmetically, it needs a little work - there's no cover glass on either side, and there's remains of old labels on the face as shown. Chrome has spotting, pitting and wear which would be greatly improved with a polish. Painted face shows yellowing and wear, more so to one side. Sounds worse than it actually looks, I think!
