huge heavy uranium green vintage depression glass compote bowl, Smith or AH Georgian
more photos of this product belowGeorgian pattern green depression glass compote bowl, huge and heavy, fabulous glow on this one! My photos don't do it justice. It's about 11 3/4" across the rim of the bowl, stands about 6 3/4" tall.
I believe this is probably L E Smith glass, though it might be Anchor Hocking's georgian? The shape of the bowl just looks more like Smith to me, and I know the Smith georgian has the multi-sided foot.
It's an older piece, antique or nearly so. There's scratching wear to the bottom of the foot, and some scratching and rub marks to the interior of the bowl. No chips or roughness, this is a good solid vintage piece overall. Wouldn't this make a wonderful punch bowl? Or a centerpiece? Or a giant candy dish?
