early industrial instrument case or storage box w/brass hardware

Old antique industrial leatherette covered wooden instrument carrying case with brass hardware and fittings. This case measures 10 1/2" square and 14" high.

The original handle was replaced many years ago with a heavy piece of wire. This is dusty from years in an attic and has some light wear inside and out.
