intage wood egg crate salesman's sample, child's size carrier tote box for eggs

Cute, incredibly detailed little wood egg crate, made just like the real thing! This is probably 1930s vintage (shellac finish is pretty typical of that period), a salesman’s sample? No markings or label on this that I could find.

This measures about 6" x 6" overall, real eggs are shown here for scale. There's no trays or paper inserts, but both box and lid are in excellent condition.
