vintage Italian reticella placemats, very fine flax handkerchief linen

Set of eight vintage table place mats, 16 1/2" x 12"

These are very detailed, with reticella embroidery and lace edging, beautifully made. The fabric is a very fine linen, a handkerchief linen, pale natural color with the edge and stitching worked in a darker flax color.

The condition of the fabric and lace is very good, no thinning, holes, or signs or wear. But these do have soil marks and spots from years of storage - we haven't washed or soaked them at all.
