antique vintage Jiffey electric waffle iron for breakfast table

Antique early electric waffle iron. This is marked "The Jiffey Waffle Iron - Mid City Mfg - Chicago - Pat Pend". It has a wood handle and a fiber wrapped electric cord with a bakelite plug. We plugged this waffle iron in and it heats up well. It measures 10.5" x 6" and stands about 5" high. It has a patina of age, light rust and the remains of the original nickel plating.
