large old Japanese papier mache tray, shabby vintage chic serving tray

Beautifully shabby 1950s vintage Made in Japan paper mache tray, darkened with time to a golden ivory shade, painted in rich jewel tone colors.

This measures about 18 1/2" across the handles, about 14 1/2" x 11 1/2" over the tray area. It's scuffed and worn top and bottom, with crackling and crazing discolored. It's sturdy yet!
