lot vintage gutta percha 78s South American latin dance records w/import stamps
more photos of this product belowLot of about 16 assorted old south-of the border big band and swing vintage 78 rpm records from South America. These records have labels like Victor, Oseon, Columbia and others.
These records were mostly made in South America (mainly Chile, but also Brazil and Argentina) for the South American market and many of them are marked with official government stamps
We think that these records are gutta percha as several of the records are marked Made in India.
These records are mostly latin dance music with tempos like foxtrot, rumbas and tangos.
Looking through this lot of records we saw titles such as: Savage Conga; I, Yi, Yi, Yi Yi; El Liston, Nosotros, E... Sao Paulo; Viva El Amor; Sempre No Meu Coracao; Espana Cani Paso Doble; En Silencio; Transformacao; Amapola; Sevillana; La Rosaura, Rejas De Andalucia; Caido del Nido; Puerto De Santa Maria and many more!
These records almost all have paper sleeves of the same period as the records, but the sleeves don't necessarily match the records inside.
We don't know much about grading records. These records look in very nice condition, quite playable, although a number of the records do have some light scratches (and a couple have tiny chips to the rims beyond the recording area).
