lavender vintage patchwork quilt top, cotton& flannel shirtings, rayon dress fabric

I can't decide if the best part of this quilt top is the interesting and unusual old clothing fabrics used to make the patchwork blocks, or that the solid fabric squares are all of a beautiful lavender cotton - a color I hardly ever find in old quilts.

This measures about 74" x 94" overall, edges unfinished, never backed or quilted.

It's depression era or WWII years, patchwork blocks carefully pieced from small scraps and old clothes beyond mending - truly a labor of love. It's machine sewn, a few loose thread tails remain here and there.
