pair of antique vintage leather archery bracers/wrist guards w/copper rivets
more photos of this product belowPair of old leather wrist guards or bracers. Archery was a popular sport for boys and girls as well as men and women during the late 1800s and into the early 20th century. These bracers would have been worn to protect the bow arm from the bowstring while shooting either longbows or recurve composite bows.
The bracers both lace over the arm and each have a leather buckle strap with copper rivets. There measure about 6-3/4" long and 8-1/2" around at the cuff and 12" at the elbow end. They have some cracking from age and there is some chipping to the cuffs.
