lot antique silk sewing thread, matte finish stockings darning floss on old wood spools

Lot of early 1900s vintage 'darning silk' thread on nice embossed wooden spools. Most of these spools were never used, there's a lot of thread here.

It's a matte finish (dull, not 'silky' or shiny) floss, made for mending stockings - although I think this would be nice for embroidery or other hand stitching. The dark colors would be good for samplers.

There's eighteen spools in all, shown altogether in the first photo. It's all in good clean condition.
