mid century mod vintage Italy ceramic art quirky hand painted King and Queen tall S-P figurines

OK, so these vintage Italian ceramic pieces are not in perfect condition. The king and queen are salt and pepper shakers, and they show wear and some chips from use.

But they have a fantastical wonderland look - just look as their faces! And they make a cool set for display as figurines, as they're quite large (6 3/4" and 8 3/4" tall).
