mid-century mod vintage popcorn splatter glaze ceramic vase, Louisville pottery

This vintage vase is marked on the bottom (hand written in pencil) Louisville Kentucky, April 1959.

I don't know if this is actually a Louisville pottery piece, or roadside pottery from Louisville - but it's very interesting to have this background information on a ceramic piece without makers marks. Without the note, I would have guessed this was Haeger pottery!

The matte dusty green color has glossy white 'popcorn' with gold, in very good condition without chips or cracks. Measures about 7 1/4" tall overall.
