mid-century vintage southwest colors bedspread, handmade Indian blanket crochet cotton thread

We love the beautiful southwest style colors of this 1940s or 50s vintage bedspread! It's handmade, crocheted of a medium weight crochet or weaving cotton for a blanket with a good heft to it. The blocks are worked much tighter than a granny square motif.

This measures about 112" long x 52" wide (it's made for a long narrow bed or the back of a bench or sofa, we think). There's a few mends, and a couple of light spots. Very little soil or fading, this doesn't look as though it's seen a lot of use.
