early old auto wheel iron sled or ski w/ hand forged ring Model T vintage

Primitive old antique heavy iron ski for getting early automobiles, buggies and farm wagons unstuck in the mud and snow on unpaved and gravel roads. It is made to go under the stuck wheel and hooked with a rope or chain to another car or truck, a farm tractor or even a team of horses and used to skate the wheel out of the mud or snow bank.

This ski measures about 24" long and 6.5" high. It is about 4 3/4" wide between the frames to keep the wheel from sliding off of the ski. It has a heavy hand forged tip with a hand forged pulling ring. This wheel ski has had the bottom repaired at some time with an arc welder or welding torch.
