antique nile green sewing braid, heavy rayon or silk, vintage 1910-20

Beautiful very heavy silky braid, circa 1910-20. We believe this is probably rayon, though it's possibly silk? It's 1/2" wide, one piece 11 1/2 yards long. This would be lovely for period dress or hat trims, for upholstery trimming or lampshades.
