old WWII vintage khaki US Navy officer's uniform tunic w/eagle buttons

Old World War Two vintage, US Naval officer's khaki tan uniform tunic or jacket. We've been told that this is a officer's khaki working uniform. This tunic still has all of the gold colored buttons with an eagle perched on an anchor.

This uniform tunic measures about 17" long on the arm (from the armpit to the sleeve cuff), 38" around the chest (under the arms), 18" across the shoulders and 29 1/2" long from the base of the collar to the bottom in the back. This old uniform tunic does have wear, spotting/staining to the arms and front from age.
