old embossed pressed paper picture wreath & doves, early 1900s vintage flue cover

Antique Victorian doves pattern pressed cardboard, very firm and rigid, like a tile or a panel.

We've been told that this was a flue cover or a chair back, opinions were mixed! We think it displays beautifully on its own, as a textured picture in a natural tan color. You could frame it, but it's pleasingly rustic / modern just as it is.

It measures about 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" square. This shows a little foxing / age spotting and soil, it's been in a barn loft for about 100 years.
