old gold orange bittersweet berries vase, lacquer painted ceramic vintage Made in Japan

Beautiful but shabby vintage ceramic vase with a lacquered finish, Made in Japan, 20th century. This is bittersweet design in cinnabar red - orange on gold and black.

There's noticeable finish loss at both the top and bottom, though the clay looks good without chips or cracks. It's about 10 1/2" tall with a fairly heavy weight, you'll be able to use this to hold twigs or branches without any difficulty.
