old ironstone china spooners, vases, toothbrush holders? vintage Shenango teal green border

Pair of lovely chunky ironstone china 'jars' - I don't know if these were made as spoon holders, flower vases, toothbrush vases? They'd work well for any and / or all of these things. Size is about 3" across the base x 3" tall.

These are early to mid century vintage Shenango ware, white ironstone with border design in teal green. Both do show wear and age, neither has chips or cracks.
