old cotton prints patchwork, vintage quilt feather bed tick covers

Vintage 1930s cotton covers for quilts or feather filled ticks (the comforters, duvets and even mattresses of yesteryear!). These came out of an old farm house here in Wisconsin, where they'd been stored away for many years. These are pieced of old cotton prints and solids, pretty colored fabrics.

These are made like a giant pillowcases (knife edge, with openings at one end). The blue and pink cover measures 72" x 89", and has an unhemmed open end. The multi colors prints cover measures 72" x 87", and has ties to close the open end.

These are showing their age, with some wear and a few spots. The blue and pink cover has a couple of holes (looks to us like it was tied in place with yarn over an old quilt at some point, and later removed), also about a 5" rip to the pink backing fabric.
