vintage 1928 1st edition of Skyward by Byrd, early avation/trans-atlantic flights/polar exploration w/photos

Vintage 1928 (We were told that this is a first edition, but an 11th impression, 1931) edition of "Skyward - man's mastery of the air as shown by the brilliant flights of America's leading air explorer, his life, his thrilling adventures, his North Pole and trans-Atlantic flights, together with his plans for conquering the Antarctic by air" by US Rear Admiral Richard Evelyn Byrd.

This has about 359 pages and about 7 black and white photos including Admiral. Byrd's planes, departing for the North Pole in fur Arctic gear etc..

This book is in nice vintage condition, but is an ex-library edition and is so marked. There is heavy fading to the spine.
