old brass/bronze industrial steam boiler pop-off valve, Hit and Miss engine vintage
more photos of this product belowOld red brass or bronze industrial steam boiler pressure relief valve marked Crane. This popoff relief valve is designed to make a loud noise when it releases the excess pressure to alert the engineer.
This valve measures about 6" high over the brass body and 1-1/2" across. It has a 3/4" threaded pipe nipple for connecting it to the boiler. The control lever is iron. and the wheel seems free to turn, but we don't have any way to test this, sorry.
