old pottery jardiniere flower pot planter spittoon

Here are two old flower pots from a farm sale here in Wisconsin... at least, these were being used as flower pots, but we think that the taller one might have been a spittoon before that, and we just don't know anything about the previous history of the other!

The "spittoon" is 7 1/2" tall, not marked with a maker. The oval one is marked with small stamped W along the bottom edge at one end, and measures 8" long. Both are in very nice condition.
