primitive heart handled wood utensil box, vintage dovetailed tote natural scrubbed wood

Primitive vintage wood tote box with dovetailed corner construction, and a heart shaped handle. The box measures 12 1/2" x 9" at the rim.

This is natural wood, a little spotted (I don't think this was ever oiled or varnished). Needs a little sanding.

The bottom is nice and sturdy, the screws in the bottom work well though they're not too pretty. Some nice older nails would be better, and it would be simple to replace the screws.

Though you'll probably never see the screws once you fill this with flatware, or linens, or the pile of remotes you have in the living room! It's a very useful box to put things in, as Pooh would say.
