primitive old wooden box, small crate w/ finger jointed construction, rough rustic dark finish

Very primitive worn old wood packing crate in a nice small size, 12 3/4" x 8 3/4". Use this as a 'bowl', or hang on the wall as a cubby or shadowbox frame.

I love the rough, dark finish - I don't know what it is. It's like a slightly resinous finish, no particular smell beyond that of an antique shipping crate stored in a barn for almost 100 years.
