primitive rag balls all vintage fabrics, worn shabby prints & solids for making rugs

Lot of old rag balls, all vintage fabrics, 30s, 40s, 50s. Most of this is cotton, though we think some of this is moth-eaten wool.

Some of these are sewn together in very long pieces before winding, others are a little shaggy with shorter strips sticking out all over.

We think these are probably all old rags right down to the last bit, though we haven't unwound them. They're out of a farm estate here in Wisconsin, and were never decorator pieces, just balls of old rags!

Sizes range from about 3 1/2" to 5 1/2" in diameter. All have visible soil or stains, and fading - these are authentic grubby primitives.
