primitive style vintage sewing box handmade from peck basket, red & white gingham heart

Sweet old sewing basket with red gingham lining and heart lid, vintage country style. This is made of two baskets, one inside the other. There's a plastic liner inside the larger basket (between the two baskets), and the cotton fabric liner inside the smaller basket. There's also a plastic thread rack fit very neatly inside.

The lid is padded fabric, one side with the heart in the center, one side plain red gingham (that side has some soil and spots which I did not try to remove). The baskets themselves and the liner are all very good, clean. It would be very easy to stitch a new circle of fabric, or something like lace or a doily over the spotted fabric. And maybe add a name or initials to make this a very special piece.
