quilted heart old feather comforter or tick mattress in vintage unbleached cotton fabric

Handmade heavy feather tick or comforter in thick unbleached cotton fabric. This has a heart stitched at the center - so sweet!

I'm not certain of the exact vintage of this piece, something between 1920s and probably late 60s. Life was slow to change from the old ways in much of rural America, and this is a classic farmhouse style piece.

It's double bed size (72" wide x 86" long), probably made as a wedding gift. It's pretty nice and clean overall, it's been well cared for over the years. You won’t want a modern weighted blanket after this!
