rare vintage Royal Copenhagen Aluminia faience pottery blue & white peacock huge platter

Beautiful early 20th century vintage Royal Copenhagen Aluminia faience serving platter or tray with peacocks pattern in deep blue.

It measures about 17 1/2" x 12 1/2" overall. The mark is Kobenhavns Fajancefabrik Danmark, early 20s at our best guess. We loved this pattern at first sight for the beautiful blue, and the peacocks!

This piece is faience pottery, not porcelain china. The feel and weight is much like old majolica, or Quimper from France, or the Delft of Dutch potters. The old Danish faience is certainly equal to any of these in our opinion, and is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

There's some crazing to the the glaze, but overall this looks good without a lot of discoloration or wear, no chips or cracks.
