embroidered red roses / lace, antique vintage linen table runner, mantle scarf

Lovely old linen and lace runner or piano scarf with silky rayon embroidery, big deep red roses, very Victorian. The crocheted cotton lace edging also has a rose design in filet crochet, and is trimmed with tassels.

The natural color homespun linen fabric measures about 50" x 16", and the lace and tasseled border measures about 7" deep. The entire piece is in very nice condition - we saw two small faint smudges, but no signs of damage or use.
