shabby vintage metal litho cake carrier, plate and cover w/ flowers

1940s - 50s vintage metal litho cake carrier, with flowered cover and latching metal cake plate (area where the cake would fit measures about 10" in diameter x 5" tall).

This has some wear, scratching and light rust spotting to both pieces. Has no maker's marks that we could find.
