ornate gold gesso plaster decorated wood book ends, vintage ship bookends

Pair of plaster or gesso decorated wood ship's bookends, with the original vintage gold colored finish. These aren't marked at all that we could find?

They measure 5 3/4" tall x 7 1/2" long, and have some dings and small chips here and there, as well as some rubbing at the bases.
