vintage silver plate pair of wall pocket vases, from antique Victorian dome cover

We love these! It's a pair of wall pockets carefully made from a single domed plate cover, antique 1800s silver plate, still showing the old monogram. These have had metal backs with mounting holes added, probably 1930s or 1940s vintage.

The silver plating is very tarnished and worn, which really doesn't look bad at all on pieces of this type. They'd be lovely with flowers, greenery, or trailing ivy, real or faux. The pockets each measure 10" wide x 4" deep.
