antique leaded stained glass window, original vintage wood frame

Beautiful old stained glass window from an Victorian era home in northern Illinois. It's a patchwork of colored glass block shapes, simple, classic style that would work well in anything from an Arts & Crafts period bungelow to a country farmhouse!

We think this was designed to be an upright window, tall and narrow - but we've shown it horizontally as we think it would be more likely hung this way today.

It's 48 1/2" x 21" x 1 1/2" thick over the wood window frame. The framing is all original, and has wear and chipping to the paint and glazing, though the glass looks excellent aside from a couple of maker's flaw wrinkles to the glass.

Just a note about packing and shipping - this does in fact cost more in packing that is shown by our shipping rates, but we're covering the additional costs, and we'll wrap and package this with the greatest of care (as we do with every item). There are no additional freight charges as this will go UPS Ground directly to your door, even with the many layers of boxing and protective materials. We feel confident shipping this, though it's a big fragile thing (we've shipped many, many difficult items before), and just wanted to add this note as a stained glass window is the sort of package you might have a few questions or concerns about.
