2 vintage hotel trunk/suitcase labels decals, Kyoto, Japan and Taipei, Taiwan ROC
more photos of this product belowPair of vintage, never applied, hotel luggage labels or stickers from oriental hotels. There is a 4 inch round label from "The Grand Hotel - Taipei Taiwan Republic of China" and 3 5/8 inch high sticker for "Kyoto - New Miyako Hotel - Hachijo-Guchi". We're not sure of the exact vintage of these labels, but we were told that the Grand Hotel in Taipei was started by Chiang Kai-shek in 1952 as a suitable place to house ambassadors after his government fled to Taiwan from the Chinese mainland and the hotel was completed in 1973.
Both of the luggage labels appear to be pressure sensitive.
