tiny hand knitted socks lot singles and pairs, handmade stockings or ornaments for hanging, garland etc

Lot of 18 hand knitted miniature socks or stockings, about 3 1/2" long. Maybe these were ornaments, or maybe doll clothes? Many singles, a few pairs which I tried to group together in the photos. (Varigated yarn doesn't often make perfectly 'matched' socks, though!) They're so cute as decorations, or maybe mismatched socks for bears or dolls.
