We love this beautifully worn canvas covered box with leather trim and handle. It's a document box, I think - the cover lifts off completely when the handle is picked up. It's generally worn, dusty etc. inside and out - the genuine article, true vintage!

The structure of the box and cover is a sturdy suitcase cardboard, lined with cotton muslin on the interior. Measures 22" x 11" x 9" overall.

Originally this type of box would be fastened with leather satchel straps, or cotton twill ties, or even heavy cord or a rope. There's wear to the fabric covering where straps have rubbed through the fabric, or left scuff marks. We have no straps for this one.
