vintage Belgian cotton tapestry wall hanging Islamic architecture street scene North Africa

Vintage woven cotton tapestry wall hanging with a scene of beautiful old buildings, a man with a hookah, etc..

There's some lettering on the street sign depicted here, but I don't know where this scene is set, although the back of the tapestry is marked Made in Belgium. So possibly it's a scene of Morocco or Algiers?

It's in very good clean condition, very little discoloration or wear. Measures about 48" long x 38" wide.
