vintage Italian ceramic soup tureen covered bowl, majolica style rose leaf hand painted Italy

Vintage ceramic soup tureen with a beautiful rose leaf pattern, all handpainted, made in Italy. This is about 12" long end to end, with notched lid for a ladle (not included).

It's earthenware, not terribly heavy. This has a condition problems as the earthenware so often does - it has crazing, a hairline crack, chips. We wouldn't suggest this for holding soup, but it's a lovely piece for display, or perhaps to use with another dish inside it.
