vintage Italy ormolu candlesticks, pair of small candle holders marbled onyx carved stone

Pair of mid-century vintage Italian candle holders, with label Vero Onice Extra (translates to 'real onyx'). The stone is lovely, heavily marbled, different in color on each.

The ornate ormolu looks very good, with bright gold colored finish. There's a little rust spotting to the inside of the steel metal candle cups.

They're made to hold glass shades or bobeches, I think - or else pretty narrow candle tapers. Bottom of the candle cups is 5/8". Candle holders stand 3 3/4" tall.
