vintage Japan ceramic gnome, china figurine little old dwarf w/ white beard

This would make a cute piece in a mini garden, or a Christmas elf! He's about 3 1/2" tall (that's a small apple in the picture).

Condition is very good, no damage or repairs. Has an old dime store price of 39 cents marked on the bottom, see photo.
