vintage Japan hand painted ceramic S&P shakers, Thanksgiving turkey tom & hen

Vintage Japan figural salt and pepper shakers, a pair of turkeys. The tom turkey is about 4 1/4 tall.

These aren't marked, though look like 1950s or early 60s pieces to me. They had cork stoppers, which are stuck inside!

They have some light wear to the paint and a few soil marks, no chips or cracks. They'd make cute figurines in a seasonal display.
