vintage Japan hand painted ceramic wall plaques, girl w/ kitten, boy w/ puppy

Cute retro mid century style girl and boy with their pets - these ceramic wall plaques are not marked, but I believe they're probably made in Japan.

They measure about 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" overall. Both are clean, a few glaze chips, but not a lot of wear, no serious damage or repairs.
