vintage Japan porcelain teapot, Arita Imari style pattern in red & blue

Mid-century vintage china tea pot with rattan handle, marked only in Japanese characters as shown. (We can't read this at all - sorry! - and please forgive us if the marks are upside down.)

It measures about 6" x 5" tall over the teapot not including the wicker handle. It's been used, but looks nice without chips or cracks.
