vintage Made in Japan hand painted figurine, jolly sailors band shelf sitter w/ wood bench

Vintage china figurine, a band of sailors? One has a mandolin, one an accordion. This looks like a piece inspired by Royal Doulton figures, made in Japan for the five and dime market. Kitschy and cute!

The three men are made all in one piece, and fit onto a wooden bench with a couple of pegs. The whole thing including bench measures about 8 1/2" long x 3 3/4" tall. The bench has some wear and staining, the painted ceramic looks excellent.
