vintage Mattel tin toy musical Easter egg made in Hong Kong, hand crank music box needs work

Vintage Mattel metal Easter egg with music box - the crank turns but the music box doesn't play. I have no idea how to fix this, and have left it just as I found it! It has some finish wear and scratching, not surprising on a toy.
