vintage Multi Products nut bowl w/ oak leaves & acorns, pressed wood composition

Vintage Multi Products nut bowl, with 'carved' design of oak leaves and acorns.

This looks sort of like a plastic to me, but I've been told that Multi Products products are like Syrowood, a wood composition poured and pressed into a mold?

It's in nice clean condition, and measures about 11 1/2" long x 7 1/2" wide, with a spot to hold a nutcracker (not included) in the center.
